It's hard to believe that Henry is already one month old. The past month has gone by so fast! We had his 1-month check-up yesterday, and he weighed in at 6lbs 12oz and 20.5 inches long. His weight gain is borderline (he should be gaining an ounce a day, and has gained just under that in the last 2 weeks), so we are going to keep watching it and do some weekly weigh-ins for the next couple of weeks. Other than that, he is doing great. He also had his second Hepatitis B shot yesterday, which he did not like AT ALL! :-( At his 2 month appt he'll get a few more shots, but he'll also get some Tylenol which should hopefully help a bit.
In the past month, Henry met his Grandma and Grandpa Carlson, his Uncle Phil, and his Grandma Bell. He is excited to meet Grandpa Bell, Uncle James, and Aunt Tina in a couple of weeks!
Here are some pictures from the last few weeks:
Henry at One month old! His hands and feet are always moving around so much that it's hard to get a still shot sometimes!
Although he isn't sleeping in his crib at night yet, I put him in there during the day sometimes to get him used to it. He likes listening to his rainforest crib soother. Here he is with his wrist rattles on for the first time (they are a little big on him!)
Max the protector is never too far from Henry. However, I think it might be that he knows he will get more attention if he is near the baby :-) Either way, it's cute! The only downside is that Max has become quite a barker since we have brought Henry home. Whenever he hears a noise outside, he runs and stands in front of me and the baby and barks like crazy. Hopefully, we can get him to stop barking!

Henry with Uncle Phil. Phil brought Henry an Ukelele with his name painted on it and some screenprinted custom onesies. Once we get pictures on Henry in the onesies, I will post them--they are pretty funny :-)

The happy family
Henry's first holiday--the 4th of July! Aunt Sue sent a couple of great t-shirts for him to wear. I was glad she did, because I had not bought any. Since Henry was 3 weeks early, I didn't think he'd be here for the 4th of July!
Grandma Bell came to visit the week after the Carlsons. We had not seen her since November, so it was great that she was able to come visit and meet Henry.
